NOMINATE A YOUNG PERSON FOR
YOUTH OF THE MONTH
Attention: clergy, educators, catechists, principals,
counselors, or DRE’s
Here’s an opportunity to showcase a young person who lives their Catholic
faith. Each month the
Northwest Indiana Catholic recognizes a Youth
of the Month, someone in grades 7-11 who makes himself or herself a witness
of the Gospel.
We’re looking for the person who regularly gives of his/her time and
talent in service to others. The nomination should include examples of how
this is done. Membership in clubs and teams, along with academic and
athletic achievements, is fine, but the most important criteria are how one
lives his/her faith.
There is no nomination form. We ask that you prepare a
nomination essay (no more than 200 words) about the individual and include a
photo of the young person (school photo will suffice).
Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis,
so there’s no set
deadline. Nominations may be mailed to Northwest Indiana Catholic,
9292 Broadway, Merrillville 46410; faxed to 738-9034; or emailed to
nwic@jorsm.com. Questions may be addressed to
769-9292, Ext. 286.
There is no set
deadline.
