1.       What is the name of the pope’s most recent apostolic exhortation and what is it a result of?

2.       What does ‘exhortation mean’? As your teacher to explain.

3.       Pope Francis is quoted as writing, “No family drops down from heaven perfectly formed; families need constantly to grow and mature in the ability to love.” Discuss what you think the pope meant.

4.       Much of this document is devoted to God’s mercy. In what areas of our lives do we need to show more mercy? To what groups of people especially?

5.       The pope also noted, “Growth can only occur if we respond to God’s grace through constant acts of love, acts of kindness that become ever more frequent, intense, generous, tender and cheerful.” Talk about ways we can respond to God’s grace in this way.
